Privacy Policy

memorai (memorai.space) is a free flashcard maker. This page explains what information is collected when you use it, who handles it, and the choices you have.

The short version

• The flashcards you make never leave your browser. I can't see them.
• If you use the contact form, your email address and message are sent to me so I can reply.
• The site shows ads from Google AdSense, which uses cookies.
• memorai doesn't have accounts, and it doesn't sell your personal information.

Flashcards you create

Questions and answers you type are kept only in your browser tab's memory. They aren't sent to any server, and they aren't saved. Closing or reloading the page erases them. The Export Deck files (HTML and PowerPoint) are created on your own device and downloaded straight to it.

Contact form

The contact page asks for your email address and a message. When you send it, the form is delivered to me by Formspree, a form-handling service that also records technical details such as your IP address to block spam. I use your email and message only to reply and to do the work you ask for. I keep them only as long as that takes. Ask me through the contact page and I'll delete them.

The contact page doesn't load ads or other third-party scripts.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

memorai uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other sites. Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners serve ads to you based on those visits.

You can turn off personalized ads from Google in My Ad Center. You can opt out of other vendors' personalized ads at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.com (EU/UK). If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you'll be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time.

Other services the site relies on

Loading a web page means your browser contacts the servers that deliver it. Those services receive your IP address and basic browser details:

• Netlify hosts the site and keeps standard server logs.
• Google Fonts provides the site's typeface.
• jsDelivr delivers the code for PowerPoint export.
• Ko-fi hosts the coffee-cup icon on the "Buy me a Coffee" button, which links to my Ko-fi page. If you choose to donate, Ko-fi's privacy policy covers that payment.

Cookies

memorai itself doesn't set cookies or store anything in your browser. Any cookies you see come from the advertising and third-party services above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The flashcard maker works without them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, or to object to how it's used. The only personal information I hold is what you send through the contact form. Contact me through the contact page to make a request. For data held by Google or the other services above, use their privacy tools linked on this page.

I don't sell personal information. Under some US state laws, personalized advertising can count as "sharing" personal information. You can opt out of it using the ad controls above.

Children

memorai isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has sent me their details through the contact form, let me know and I'll delete them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, I'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
